Yes, this is commonly photographed. Yes, that stuff is in the foreground (it’s okay to do this, really). Yes, I perhaps could have used a perspective control lens or used the PC tool more in development. I don’t care. I love this twilight photo of Downtown Portland, Oregon. Why? Aside from the awesome evening and wonderful light, it’s because I shot it along with Adam Korst, a photo club amigo, and because we had a fun time doing it. Afterwards we talked shop over drinks. It’s the kind of networking I go in for and I wish more people did, too.
If I’m a happy photographer having fun, then I’m a better photographer. Love what you do.
