Portland Timbers Football Club supporters had a spontaneous party in the streets, after the team won MLS Cup last Sunday. Timbers fans are some of the best and most passionate in soccer. Their natural happiness (and relief) in victory was very real, and a moment I won’t forget.

While in the joyous melee I shot a few film photos, which are in development, and I also captured nice snapshots with my iPhone camera. I’m learning to regard the camera-phone as a digital toy camera, akin to fun film toys like Holga and Diana. It has a similar unpredictability, and can work in situations like this.
