I am actually creating a post about beach side towns and how they are all magnets for the odd and wayward. I was looking for a similar photo…just a lone person at the beach in his own reality which is far different from the reality of the masses.
You see it all on the coast…that is for sure.
This is so true, Steve. There is something about the coast that draws people looking for a respite from it all, regardless of their walk of life. I was actually there to shoot photos of kite surfers, but turned around and saw the man in the photo laying there. Sometimes the best shot is the one you don’t plan. I suppose that, in my own way, I was too a loner drawn to the same spot. I look forward to your post.
